Does your wardrobe represent who you are? Mine did not , but it will. When you can't go to the mall or boutique and buy off the rack because they don't have your size your wardrobe doesn't really represent who you are it just kinda reflects an assortment of clothes that will do because they fit. I have always dreamed about being able to go into Banana Republic and get a shirt in plumb or mint or one of those tapered suits. I would dress totally different if I were another size. This weekend I made a move. I got rid of all the clothes in my closet that I did not absolutely love. I got rid of the suits, shirts, tuxedos, and slacks that Allison always gave me the lukewarm response on. The clothes that I just settled for but did not feel like best represented who I am. I also created a section in my closet where I have clothes that I could fit in the past and will fit again. This is the section I am working to get back to and also in this section I will put clothes that I can't currently fit but will fit in the future.
I am motivated by my new closet and using this as motivation. I will not buy any clothes in my current size it must be smaller to add to my wardrobe. For the next six months I will not weigh myself each week I will instead try on my suit that I used to wear when I had lost 40lbs and use this to gauge my progress. I am determined to add only killer pieces to my new wardrobe and love each item.
My new mindset is to live my life as the new me. Who is the new me? The new me is a fitness fanatic so I am aware of everything I put in my body and work out daily. The new me is aware of how I look at all times so I am always well groomed and well dressed. I can't tell you all my secrets but the new me starts today.
I'm comin' down!!
